The Show

It’s a “Christmas Carol” gone wrong! In “A Christmas Chaos,” Theatre 7 has booked a touring Royal Shakespeare Company to perform their stirring rendition of “A Christmas Carol” for a dinner theatre. Unfortunately, the professional company doesn’t show. So, our intrepid band of fine actors and technicians must put together their own production at the last minute!

This farcical play focuses on thespians doing their best while chaos reigns all around them: two actors fighting over who gets to play Tiny Tim, a confused actor who thinks she’s in another show, a haughty lead actor, one actor playing both Bob and Mrs. Cratchit, an out-of-control director, thrown-together props and costumes, ridiculous scenery, and tons of flubs and confusion.

Enjoy a fun night out on the town – it’s dinner theatre with a side of holiday hilarity! Tickets for dinner and the show are $45 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will be available November 1 by calling the Decatur Club at (217) 429-4200. Seating is limited, so get your reservations in soon.

Directed by Jan Hooten.
